As the name suggest, Lord Ayyappa is the main deity of this temple, along with Mahadev, Ganapathy, Yogeeshwaran, Bramha Rakshas and Nagadevtha are worshipped here. It is believed ,(as told by the ancestors from our village), that the holy spirit of Lord Ayyappa exists in this temple of Kallooppara District, Kerala, India, with the powers of Sree Dharmasastha Kshetram Thrikkunnappuzha. This temple is 100 plus years old. Currently being managed by body of working committee duly elected by the villagers periodically. All the rituals and poojas are performed by the temple priest under the advise of Kshethram Thanthri "Brahmahsree Akkeraman Kalidasa Bhattathiripad" About Thrikkunnappuzha Sree Dharmasastha Temple in Alappuzha district, Kerala. This temple as per, ancient inscriptions and local tradition place its origins more than 5000 years ago, marking it as one of the oldest Ayyappa shrines in India.
